This headband crochet pattern is written in both UK and USA terms.

This is a really easy beginners crochet headband, that uses super bulky yarn, making it a super quick make.

How long does it take to make a crochet headband?

This headband is really easy, it takes approximately 25 minutes to make it from start to finish. Yes you read that right, it takes me 25 minutes to make one.

What Yarn to use for a crochet headband?

I’ve used a Super Bulky / Super Chunky yarn – depending on where in the world you are!

In the UK, we call it Sup[er chunky yarn, but my USA friends call it Super Bulky.

I’ve used Hobbii Udon Yarn, a Super Bulky 6 weight yarn.

This is an Acrylic/ Wool mix of 80% acrylic and 20% wool, and it comes in a huge 200g ball that looks just like a big bowl of noodles!

You can purchase the exact Udon yarn here.

There are other Super Bulky yarns that will work,

WeCrochet “Mighty Stitch” (Like I used for the Tramlines cowl and wrist warmer patterns)

Cygnet Seriously Chunky That I use for loads of patterns – 40 minute beanie hat
